Flashcards--Pre-primer words--

This video is the first set of nine pre-primer words.  Each word has a picture associated with it.  Each word is shown three different times.  The first time I use a black background with yellow letters. I chose this contrast for those students that have visual perception problems.  The second time the word is shown, it has a red font and white background. Alex is matching the letter sounds to the objects that make that sound.  He is working on the sounds M, A, T.  In the Montessori world you start of tracing sandpaper letters in lowercase form.  The students are taught letter sounds before the letter names.  Once the student learns their letter sounds they go to the phoneme boxes.

Lance is 17 months old and I am working on  language and behavior.  When I work with someone this young it is all about follow the child.

Landry is 6 yrs old she.  She is learning to add 4 digits plus 4 digits without carrying using Base 10 Blocks.

Here I am working with one of my students at the desk.   The school speech therapist would not work with her until she could sit at a desk for 30 minutes.
